Changed Day care for K
It has been a crazy week for us! We loved the day care (home based). H asked them - did you know K has two mommies. *chuckling* The lady there said - oh ... that is not a plm... but you will have to teach us. Teach them what??? acceptance??? respect?? being lesbian mom? H had a funny feeling. Yesterday we discussed seriously! We were so concerned that day care might be toooooooo academic for K. We want him to learn and play at the same time! He is a kid! He will learn so much through play! We decided to email them but they emailed us... saying... how do we contact you in case of emergency? We replied - text message - they said they don't do text msg... so we said emails but decided to straightforward with them... it would be better for us to back out and can we have our deposit back (as we knew we will get it back). Good enough, H went to the day care and got the money back and they didn't beg us to stay or put our son in. That said it all!!! We got other day care - more money but they are very comfortable with diverse families all that.... Whew! Hope its a final!

That really is pretty crappy, don't have to be a lesbian to get the treatment, being a single mom with 3 kids can get you the shit stick too. So glad you can make different arrangements.
